The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
